The dean organises the Faculty\u2019s business and operations, convenes and chairs the Faculty Council\u2019s sessions, establishes working groups and temporary committees, approves teachers\u2019 engagements outside the Faculty, decides on the financial plan and statement of accounts, participates in the work of university bodies in accordance with the law and the University Statute and performs all tasks for which he is authorised under regulations, the Statute and other core documents of the Faculty. The dean is elected by the Faculty Council for a three-year term of office. The same person may be elected dean no more than twice in a row. The Dean\u2019s Collegium is an advisory body composed of vice deans, the dean and the secretary of the Faculty. The Dean\u2019s Collegium is also attended by a student representative and a representative of the largest teaching hospital (CHC Rijeka).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vice Deans<\/strong>:<br>A teacher holding an academic rank may be elected vice dean. The vice dean\u2019s term of office lasts three years. The vice dean\u2019s term of office is not limited to two consecutive terms. Vice deans are appointed by the Faculty Council on the proposal of the dean. Each vice dean is in charge of their scope of work.
