List of documents to be submitted to the Ethics Committee for Biomedical research when registering a PhD thesis topic or research project:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Request letter, including a list of submitted documents<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. PhD proposal (Ds4 form) or project proposal or research summary with the methodology and ethical aspects explained<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Ethics committee approval from all institutions where research involving human participants or human material is conducted, or biomedical data are collected, or laboratory animal studies are involved.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Participant information sheet and informed consent form for all prospective research on people, combined in one document (Informed consent design form for research participation.doc<\/a>) The document should confirm that the proposal has been reviewed by this Committee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Approval from the Ministry of Agriculture and Veterinary and Food Safety Directorate (if research involves laboratory animal studies<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6.  Approval of Animal Welfare Committee (if the research involves laboratory animal studies)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Surveys, questionnaires and similar materials to be used in research<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Approvals by heads of all departments and cooperating institutions where research or a part of research is conducted<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Written replies to comments by Ethics Committee, explaining the changes in the proposal (in case of amendments to the research proposal or a repeated submission to the Ethics Committee)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Other relevant documents relating to the nature of the research<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    All requests to the Committee should be submitted in both printed and electronic form. In electronic form, all documents are submitted as .PDF, with the exception of request letter with a list of submitted documents, which should additionally be submitted in .DOCX format, via the Faculty of Medicine Intranet (the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka) by entering SharePoint Portal MEDRI 2024 and selecting COMMITTEES\/ Requests to committees\/ ETHICS COMMITTEE FOR BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH. If submitting edited version of the request, it should be registered in SharePoint Portal as a new request. The Portal is accessed using AAI@Edu credentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
