Clinics and clinical departments are organisational forms specific to the education of health professionals. They are organised within the Clinical Hospital Centre Rijeka and other Faculty\u2019s teaching hospitals. Clinics and clinical departments are organised by meeting stringent requirements stipulated by health regulations. Activities of each clinic and clinical department are managed by the head. Heads of organisational units manage activities, chair meetings and coordinate and monitor employees\u2019 teaching or research work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Faculty of Medicine currently has 39 departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Departments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Departments are the basic organisational form of teaching and scientific work at the Faculty, whose number and names are regulated by the General Act on Faculty Organisation. Department\u2019s main role is the implementation and coordination of teaching in all study programmes of the Faculty, participation in the improvement of the teaching process and selection and promotion of teachers.
