University of Rijeka, Faculty of Medicine is hosting the 10th Rijeka Forum on Neurodegenerative Diseases from September 14 to 16, 2026, in Rijeka. Organized by the Department of Neurology at Rijeka University Hospital Centre, the Department of Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine, the Department of Biomedical Sciences in Rijeka of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and the Croatian Neurological Society, this year’s forum marks its tenth anniversary and again carries the patronage of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) and the International Association of Parkinsonism and Related Disorders (IAPRD). More than 50 speakers will take part, presenting the latest research and open questions on neurodegenerative diseases, with particular attention to disease mechanisms, treatment, biomarkers, genetics, viral factors, proteinopathies, neuroinflammation, metabolic dysfunction, and neuroimmunology. The organizers hope the event will give clinicians and researchers valuable updates for their daily practical and scientific work, which participants can then share within their national neurological societies. Participation is free of charge, but prior registration is required. The event will take place at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
