The Student Union of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Rijeka (MEDRI SU) is the highest student representative body that protects student interests, participates in the activities and decision-making in the bodies of the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka, as well as the University of Rijeka, and represents students in the higher education system. The main concerns of MEDRI SU are students’ quality of life, especially the quality of the study process, student standard, exercising student rights and other issues important for students of the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka. Also, the SU’s role is to encourage extracurricular activities among the students of the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka.
Its members are student representatives of all years of study of Medicine, Medicine in English, Environmental and Public Health, Pharmacy and Medical Laboratory Diagnostics, as well as students representatives of postgraduate studies. Also, members of the Student Union Assembly are students who hold various functions and roles in our largest and most important student associations and organisations (CroMSIC, FOSS MEDRI, EMSA and SOSS).

SZMEDRI 2020–2022
The Student Union of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Rijeka (MEDRI SU) is the highest student representative body. Its members, elected for a two-year term, are student representatives of all years of study of Medicine, Environmental and Public Health, Pharmacy and Medical Laboratory Diagnostics, as well as students representing interests of all study programmes (the preclinical and clinical part of studies) and student representatives of postgraduate studies. Also, members of the Student Union are students who hold various functions and roles in our largest and most important student associations and organisations (CroMSIC, FOSS MEDRI, EMSA and SOSS). Some of the members are also elected to all significant Faculty committees.
The Student Union of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Rijeka represents the interests of all Faculty students regarding curricular and extracurricular topics and events, participates in the organisation and implementation of classes in every year of study and deals with the maintenance of the student standard. Members of the MEDRI Student Union represent the Faculty at the University level through the University of Rijeka Student Union.
The members of MEDRI SU are regular members of the Faculty Council with the right to vote, thus successfully cooperating with the Faculty Administration and teaching staff.
