The Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka offers three university integrated undergraduate and graduate studies, two lasting 6 years (study of Medicine in Croatian and study of Medicine in English) and one lasting 5 years (study of Pharmacy).
The aim of the study of Medicine is to educate students in the field of basic medical sciences as well as in preclinical, clinical and public health areas. The duration of the study is 12 semesters (6 years, 360 ECTS credits). Upon completion of studies, the student is awarded the academic title of Doctor of Medicine (dr. med., M.D.).
The study of Pharmacy enables students to acquire knowledge in basic, biomedical and pharmaceutical courses so they can apply the acquired knowledge in the increasingly demanding work scope of masters of pharmacy in the healthcare system. The duration of the study is 10 semesters (5 years, 300 ECTS credits). Upon completion of studies, the student is awarded the academic title of Master of Pharmacy (MS Pharm).
Required educational level for enrolment: completed four-year high school, passed prerequisite courses, passed the mandatory and optional tests at the state graduation exam (evaluation parameters are determined for each academic year).
