International projects

At the international level, the Faculty of Medicine and its organisational units, departments and individuals cooperate with numerous institutions and experts abroad. The specific goals we want to achieve are knowledge and technology transfer through the exchange and education of teachers and scientists to enable cooperation on larger projects and ensure funding sources from European and other funds, raising the standard of scientific production and teaching quality at the level of European and global models and enabling training at foreign institutions for young specialists. This cooperation is achieved through bilateral and multilateral agreements, participation in academic networks and organisations and participation in professional and scientific conferences. The international recognizability of the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka is also contributed significantly by the intensive scientific and research cooperation of the Faculty’s employees with institutions and individuals worldwide.
