POSTER SECTION SCHEDULE

GUIDE FOR ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Colleagues who have submitted for oral presentations and have been selected are asked to prepare a PowerPoint presentation lasting a maximum of 10 minutes. Each presentation will be followed by a discussion of a maximum of 5 minutes. Please be precise as prolonged presentations will be stopped. Presentations in .pptx format can be sent to our email (znanostimi@gmail.com) or transferred via USB stick before the start of the congress each day or at lunch breaks. 

Colleagues who have submitted poster presentations should print posters that will be displayed in the hall of the Faculty of Medicine. During the poster section, doctoral/ postdoctoral students are required to stand by their posters and answer any questions. Posters need to be printed at a size of 90×120 cm (width x height).

ABSTRACT AND POWERPOINT PRESENTATION SUBMISSION

The abstract must be submitted within the registration form. Please follow the abstract writing guidelines in the abstract template. The abstract must be written in the English language. The abstract should not exceed 300 words nor contain photos, tables, or references. The abstract should be saved in .docx format.

Dear PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and all interested parties,

With great pleasure we invite you to “Science and Us”, the 2nd congress of doctoral students with international participation.

The congress is intended for those in the scientific field of biomedicine and healthcare and will be held in Rijeka, from May 16th to 18th, 2024, at the Faculty of Medicine University of Rijeka, Croatia.

Importantly, PhD students will have the chance to present their data through oral and poster presentations and obtain ECTS credits for their programs. Additionally, the congress will be scored by the Croatian Medical and Healthcare professionals chambers.

While the majority of the oral presentation will be given by PhD students, the attendees will also have the opportunity to hear lectures from prominent invited experts in the fields of biomedicine, public health, environmental engineering, clinical and dental medicine. The official language of the congress is English.

Leisure poster sections and dancing in the afterhours will be organized.

As the organizing committee is composed of PhD students, our goal is to make this conference affordable and useful for PhD students. We strongly believe that this conference is an opportunity for PhD students in the field of biomedicine and healthcare to enrich their knowledge through a creatively designed three-day program, expand their scientific perspectives, gain experience in presenting their data and achieve new collaborations and friendships.
