Completion of the Building Extension of the Centre for Proteomics

The Centre for Proteomics at the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka has completed a major infrastructure upgrade, involving the construction of an additional 200 m² floor on its existing building. The new space includes a modern teaching facility equipped with advanced equipment and a molecular biology laboratory, providing improved conditions for practical training in medicine, pharmacy, and medical laboratory diagnostics. The upgrade also expands the Centre’s laboratory and research capacities, supporting its continued development as one of Croatia’s leading biomedical research units. The total investment amounted to EUR 836,508 and was funded by the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Centre’s own resources.
