Educational researchers and experts recognise the importance of promoting health and social and emotional competencies through school programmes, especially among younger adolescents. Considering the number of children in schools, it makes sense to focus on improving social competence and preventing socially undesirable behaviours in schools. Unfortunately, the few evaluation studies conducted in the Republic of Croatia indicate numerous shortcomings in our prevention system, primarily in the areas of planning, implementing and evaluating prevention programmes. Experts who work with children and young people in the healthcare and education system often lack the basic knowledge and skills necessary to implement contemporary prevention programmes.
The programme is intended for experts of various profiles (psychologists, school social workers, etc.) who work in healthcare and educational institutions, public administration or civil society organisations and who are oriented towards creating and implementing preventive programmes in the school environment.
The programme consists of 8 hours of lectures, totalling 2 ECTS credits.
